Swimming

Swimming has always been an excellent form of exercise for all the community, regardless of age, ability and physical condition. As a low impact exercise for all the body, it is suitable for all ages and physical conditions, including pregnant women, those who have mobility problems, or want to protect their joints. It is also great for your heart and lungs. Studies have shown that swimming also has great psychological benefits, by helping to reduce stress, tension and anger.

SLL offers all of these health and lifestyle benefits at a range of indoor and outdoor pools.

These pools offer swimming experiences for all the community to enjoy, with a wide range of public, fun and programmed sessions in main and teaching pools.

Each pool also offers the successful AquaEd Swim School, with over 20,000 learning to swim each year following the ASA’s National Plan for Teaching Swimming. There are classes for both adults and children, led by qualified instructors in a friendly and supportive environment.
