Dinghy Sailing Courses for Adults

RYA Level 1 – Start Sailing 2012

Cost of Course £118.

This course will introduce you to the basic skills and knowledge of dinghy sailing and can be consolidated with the Level 2 course. Suggested reading for this course is the RYA Beginners Handbook available at Fairlands reception and on the RYA website www.rya.org.uk (opens in a new window).

If you can't find anything suitable within our scheduled courses, please call us to see what we can arrange for you. all we need is a minimum of three attendees to run a course and a call to one of our experienced instructors will tailor it to your needs.

Experience required: None, Minimum age: 16
Notes: All courses are subject to a minimum of 2 attendees. There are no concessionary rates on courses

RYA Level 2 – Basic Skills 2012

Cost of course £118.

By the end of this course, the student should be able to sail confidently without an instructor on board in light winds. Suggested reading for this course is the RYA Handbook available at Fairlands reception and on the RYA website: www.rya.org.uk (opens in a new window).

Experience required: Level 1, Youth Sailing Stage 2 or previous practical experience. Minimum age: 16
Please ensure existing logbooks are brought in on the first day of your course

Seamanship Skills

We can provide more advanced courses for seamanship skills, sailing with spinnakers and racing. These will be created on demand and will be subject to having the appropriate numbers on the course.
