Corporate Events
We can provide the ideal opportunity to design a fun-filled experience tailored to your requirements, whether the objective is team building or just a day to remember. Our skilled, professional staff are trained to deliver dry and wet side activities within a superb centre set in beautiful parkland with the additional benefit of plentiful FREE parking. We have a great training room for hire (see detail below), and catering can be arranged with the on-site caterers. Please call us on 01438 353241 to discuss your requirements.
Training Room
A sparkling new training and meeting room is available during the day for corporate & club events and educational purposes. Set in stunning parkland with views of the lake, the room has an OHP, Smartboard and flipchart available and can cater for a maximum of 32 people seated. Catering can be arranged if required and ample parking is free. For further details call 01438 353241.
Active Retired Sailing
Those over 50 can enjoy a two hour sailing session between 10.00 and 12.00 on Thursdays – come along and sail or windsurf. All you need is some prior experience. For just £5.00 you can have hours of fun.
Bandstand
The bandstand can be hired on Sundays between 14.00 - 16.00. For conditions and charges please contact us on (01438) 353241. Also a temporary roof and power is available.
Bell Boats and Dragon Boats
Children or adults can paddle these for fun or light-hearted competition.
The GR8 Wall – Climbing Wall
We are proud to introduce “The mobile GR8 Wall” based at Fairlands Valley Park.
The vertical 6 metre climbing wall has 4 climbing wall routes and includes accredited instructors.

Costello's Cáfe
The cáfe adjoins the sailing centre and is open seven days a week throughout the year. Telephone Frank Costello on 01438 748 458 for bookings and further information.
Children’s Parties
We can provide sailing, bell boating, boards & buggies, kiting, climbing or canoeing sessions, either as part-instructional and/or fun sessions. Catering or picnics can be arranged by Costello’s on-site cafe (Tel: 01438 748458).
Disabled Facilities
Access is available to Fairlands Valley Sailing Centre and Costello’s Café.
Booking in advance is required for those who want to try some of the activities we provide.
Stevenage Sailability offer Access dinghies, and the Lune Whammel every fortnight for those interested in sailing supported by volunteers and helpers

For the more adventurous who want to try sailing we offer a stable Challenger Trimaran which needs to be booked in advance. The easy to launch Access dinghies are also available, along with the Lune Whammel. There is easy access to the Sailing Centre and Costello’s Cafe.
Dinghy Parking
Avoid the inconvenience of trailing your dinghy. Please contact us for costs and conditions on (01438) 353241. Our compound is available for boat parking.
Gift Vouchers
We can also offer gift vouchers for the full value of any course or for private tuition please ask at reception for details or ring.
Grounds Hire
We will be happy to advise you on your event, and a telephone call is all that is needed to arrange an initial site visit. Power and water is available. The site provides easy access from the A1(M) Junction 7.
Hot air balloon flights flying from Fairlands Valley Park, Broadhall Way site can be arranged through contacting Adventure Balloons who will advise on dates, fees and any other details.
Fishing at Fairlands Valley Park
Stevenage Borough Council is pleased to announce that fishing will return to Fairlands Valley Park for the new fishing season. The Council has appointed Welwyn Garden City Angling Club (WGCAC) to manage the fishing activity at the Park from the start of the new fishing season on Wednesday 16 June.
