Saturday 07.30–18.00
Sunday 08.00–21.00

Last admission to the centre is 30 minutes before the closing

Registered Free Swimming

Saxon Pool and Leisure Centre is taking part in the Government's free swimming programme for those aged 16 and under and 60 and over, for further details please click here.

Band Entry System

During peak periods a band entry system will be used at Saxon Pool an Leisure Centre. All swimmers will get a minimum of 1 hour in the swimming pool, but they may be called out following this time, if demand for swimming is high.

Parking

We have ample free parking, with CCTV coverage for added security.

Designated Changing Areas

Swimmers Changing Village Includes:

• Individual cubicles
• Family cubicles
• Baby changing areas
• Pre-swimming showers to be used before you enter the pool for health and hygiene reasons
• Male & Female Showers
• Disabled changing facilities

 

Dryside Changing includes:

• Male and Female changing rooms with shower areas
• Disabled changing facilities
• Ample seated areas

 

All changing areas include:

• Lockers are operated using a £1 coin which is returned after use
• Free hairdryers

There are additional changing facilities available for use by members with a disability and with access for wheelchair users.

Non-Smoking Facilities

To promote a healthy atmosphere for all of our customers Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre is strictly non-smoking.

Merchandise

We offer a wide range of competitively priced merchandise for you to purchase, this currently includes, Purelime fitness wear, heart rate monitors, water bottles, sports drinks, headphones, and replacement gym programme keys. We are also a major authorised stockist of Zoggs swimming equipment, learning aids and swimwear.

Bedfordshire Heartlands PCT

Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre has developed a close working partnership with Bedfordshire Heartlands PCT. By working together we are able to offer a GP referral scheme for people whose health would be improved by doing more physical activity. We also deliver Cardiac Rehabilitation sessions with specially trained fitness instructors for people who have heart related conditions. These schemes are only available to people who have been referred by their GP or Hospital.
