Dad's Army Marches On

Get ready for an evening of nostalgic pleasure and madcap mayhem because a brand new stage adaptation of the classic British sitcom ‘Dad’s Army’ is on its way.

 

Following the success of the highly acclaimed sitcom stage tour ‘Dad’s Army – The Lost Episodes’, and in homage to 70 years of the Home Guard, Calibre Productions have collaborated once more with original creators Jimmy Perry OBE and David Croft OBE in a bid to break into new territory by producing a ‘stage series’ of ‘Dad’s Army’ performances.

 

Leading the cast of 15, Leslie Grantham will once again put his best foot forward as Private Walker while Timothy Kightley, having won handsome praise for his performance in ‘Dad’s Army – The Lost Episodes’, will reprise his role as Captain Mainwaring.

 

Featuring four classic episodes staged in the fictional seaside town of Walmington-on-Sea and hand-picked by the selfsame writers, ‘Dad’s Army Marches On’ showcases adaptations of their own personal favourites, ‘Branded’ and, ‘Mum’s Army’. So prepare to relive the memorable catchphrases and superb wit that established ‘Dad’s Army’ as one of Britain’s favourite sitcoms.
