Images of Dance
Wednesday 2nd July

The popular and dynamically talented Images of Dance directed by Margaret Barbieri (former Royal Ballet principal) presents 18 young dancers in an irresistibly entertaining family ballet programme, ranging from the classical splendours of Renato Paroni’s new Tchaikovsky ballet, and Arthur Pita’s specially commissioned 1930s tribute Dancing in the Dark, with its stylish elegance and darker shadows of depression and decadence, to Harold King’s delightful The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe, where Grieg’s atmospheric music conjures the snow-bound world of Narnia, based on the C S Lewis children’s classic of good, evil and redemption.
