Fitness@tlc has over 90 stations fitness equipment, which includes Hammer Strength, Treadmills, Cross Trainers, Bikes and Steppers, plus more.

We compliment this with a Cardio Theatre, a Spin Bike Studio, Dance Studio and Fitlinxx. Fitlinxx is your virtual training partner. Fitness@tlc is one of 75 facilities in the UK to have Fitlinxx installed.

Our Dance Studio offers a new and improved timetable, hosting 20 different classes. These will undoubtedly appeal to a wide range of fitness abilities and tastes with Circuit Training and Spin Biking for the more energetic to holistic classes such as Pilates and Yoga for those that prefer the relaxed approach.

We offer Pay as you Play options and cracking membership deals.

Stevenage Leisure Limited is delighted to bring you The First Uk Open Argentine Tango, Bachata & Salsa Competition. The event will take place at Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre at 2pm on Saturday 12th September 2009. The final takes place at 7pm and will include an awards presentation and a Salsa Party with Alfonso Noviello - the hottest DJ in the UK from 8pm until 12pm.

Events will consist of Professional, Pro-Amateur & Amateur Freestyle Competitions in all three dance styles (Argentine Tango, Bachata & Salsa). As well as Professional, Pro-Amateur & Amateur Duo Showdance Competitions AND Pro-Amateur & Amateur Group Showdance competitions (Large Groups 8-24 members - Small Groups 3-7 members). 

There are also Professional, Pro-Amateur and Amateur Same-Sex Freestyle Competitions in Argentine Tango and Salsa.

The final heat of the Freestyle Competition will take place in the evening, during the Salsa Party, where the winners of the Showdance Competitions will also be showcasing their dances. Freestyle / Duo Showdance Competitions and Group Showdance Competitions are open to any one over the age of 16. Competition Rules are based on those of the International Dance Organization

Registration Requirements

• Each Competitor must fill in an entry form for each event in which they wish to participate.
• A photocopy of your passport, driving license any other form of Identification must be supplied.
• 2 recent passport sized photos must be supplied.
• A photocopy of all dance teaching certification(s) must be supplied.
• A cheque addresses to STEVENAGE LEISURE LIMITED with the correct amount of fee as per the event to be competed in. Please provide a separate cheque for each event, if you are competing in more than one event.
• All registration requirements must be sent to Fitness @ the Leisure Centre, Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre, Lytton Way, Stevenage SG1 1LZ.
• All orignal copies of the documents (passport, drivers license, ID Card, Certificates) sent during the registration period must be brought on the day of the event and presented to the organizers for verification purposes.
• Your couples, duo or group entry number will be given to you on the day of competition when you register upon arrival.

The Adjudicators

The competition events will be adjudicated by Ansell Chazan, Sandra Morum and Paul Dribbell.

Ansell Chezan is a Fellow & Examiner of the UKA in all branches. A Licensed Championship Adjudicator for the British Dance council, World Dance Counsil, International Dance Sport Federation and International Dance Organization. He received a lifetime achievement award from Salsa UK for his selfless endeavour in the UK Salsa scene. He is also the current Chairman of the Latino Committee of the IDO, and Vice President of IDO England. Renowned worldwide, Ansell travels all over the adjudicate vaious competitions including the IDO world Salsa Championships. Ansell has coached the current World Argentine Tango Champions, and regularly presents Bachata workshops.

Sandra Morum is UKA qualified in Salsa, she has competed, given dance demonstrations and adjudicated throughout the UK, as well as assisting Ansell in workshops and lectures in various danced styles within many European Countires.

Paul Dribbell is a Licentiate in Salsa with UKA, as well as Hip Hop and Belly Dance. He is a Licensed Championship Adjudicator for the BDC (British Dance Council) and has performed and lectured all around the UK. He coaches the current World Rueda Champion 2009 in Romania. He is currently working on an american team in Rueda de Bachata. he has apprwared in the film 'Brideshead Revisited' performing the Square Rhumba.
