The gallery holds 10-month-long exhibitions per year of work by national and local artists, painters, printmakers, photographers and sculptors, in both solo and group shows.
The Boxfield gallery displays a wide array of artist talent ranging from landscape and portaiture to abstract and comtemporary conceptual pieces. The Boxfield supports talent of local colleges and schools and is active in supporting young talent, each year running the Boxfield / Stevenage Community Trust Prize for excellence in Art in conjunction with ‘Stevenage Community Trust.’ This competition is run for Year 10 students studying within the Stevenage area.
The Gordon Craig Theatre Foyer Gallery holds 12 exhibitions per year and is perfect for watercolours, photographery and printmakering who also work within a smaller scale, this gallery being turned over to local primary schools to mount their own exhibitions annually. Also community projects are exhibited.
The gallery also manages several display cases for potters, ceramicist, sculptors, woodturners, jewellers and textiles, these being available to purchase from these displays.
