A.S.A Level 1 Teacher Certificate

This certificate is the first qualification in teaching/coaching and is the pre-requisite to taking a course leading to the ASA Level 2 Certificate for Teaching. It is designed to qualify you to assist an ASA Level 2 Certificate holder.

Training in progressCandidates must be 16 years old.

A.S.A. Level 2 Teachers Certificate

This is the industry standard for those wishing to teach unsupervised. Essential for those seeking paid employment.

Candidates must be 18 years old & hold a Level 1 certificate.


A.S.A. Parent and Child Certificate

This is the industry standard for those wishing to teach children under the age of 3. Essential for those teaching parent and child lessons.

Candidates must be 18 years old & hold a Level 2 certificate.

A.S.A. Club Helpers

This award is aimed at 14 years + who would like to help out in a club situation. 

Candidates must be 14 years old plus.

RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches

The aim of the course is to identify hazards, the importance of pool safety procedures and appropriate emergency action and first aid.

Candidates must be 16 years old.

RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches Renewal

The aim of the course is to identify hazards, the importance of pool safety procedures and appropriate emergency action and first aid.

Candidates must be 16 years old.

RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Professional Qualification

Unit 1 - Principals of lifesaving and swimming pool supervision
Unit 2 - Application of supervision and swimming pool rescue

Candidates must be 16 years old.

RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Professional Qualification Renewal

The qualification must be renewed every 2 years. Training records must be provided & current qualification must be in date.

Candidates must be 16 years old.

First Aid at Work

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work.

Appointed Person - Emergency First Aid Course

Suitable for anyone who may find themselves in a position that requires them to take charge of an incident that requires first aid assistance including guidance on reporting incidents and first aid procedures.

Candidates must be 16 years old.

Emergency Responder (Automated External Defibrillator)

This is for delegates who have a defibrillator on site and need the HSE required training to enable employees to apply this to a casualty.

Candidates must be 16 years old.


Adrenaline Auto-Injection course (Epi - pen)

This course is for applying an Epi - pen to someone who suffers from anaphylaxis attack.

Candidates must be 16 years old.

The Sport & Recreation Supervisory Management Certificate

The role of the supervisor is crucial to the provision of good customer service in all organisations. Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day performance of other staff, the well-being and safety of customers and staff, as well as the day-to-day operation of the building. This requires a range of skills, knowledge and confidence, combined with experience. ISRM recognises the importance of this role and has specifically developed this qualification to address the needs of existing and aspiring supervisors.

The certificate is made up of the following three modules:

Module 1: Sports services operations

Part 2 Operational Health & Safety Systems

Module 2: Employment practice

Part 1 The Employment Process
Part 2 The Management of Staff
